South Bend Tribune, January 23, 1951: Miss Adda May Sumption died this morning in the Haven Hubbard Home, New Carlisle, this county, where she had resided for the last 26 years. She was ill six months. She was born in South Bend Oct. 21, 1871. The body was taken to the Russell chapel. She is survived by a brother, George B., and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Peterson and Mrs. Lennie Saddison, all of South Bend. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Russell chapel by Rev. C. B. Westfall, superintendent of Hubbard home. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
