  • Notes 
    • Per an article in the Akron (OH) Beacon Journal newspaper (23 August 1909), Irvin claimed that his first wife hid their child from him for several years. He also claimed that she used the $20 a month he paid for child support for herself instead of his child. Irvin found his child in July of that year, and "it was in need of shoes and clothing." The child was removed from his ex-wife and placed in the care of his current in-laws pending him getting custody.
